Well, I married a sports fanatic! A sports fanatic that just happened to have Carolina Panthers season tickets.
I think this is my very first game, September 2009, a few weeks before we got married.
Michael also had Duke football season tickets. I went to the games, but just couldn't get into college football.

I obviously didn't start liking the Panthers because they win every game. That is hardly the case.

Michael taught me the game. I read the Panthers magazine when it came in the mail, I studied the programs to learn all of the players. For the first time, I really tried to understand the game itself. And I became hooked.

January 2010 - don't remember which game
I cried when Delhomme cried as he did the press conference announcing that he was let go from the Panthers. I went to every game and cheered... even though they were losing.

I think what I love most about the Panthers is their dedication to the Carolinas and finding nice players. You rarely hear anything bad about a Panthers player (on a personal level).
Panthers vs. Falcons - early 2011?
Being a fan doesn't mean you choose the team that wins the most. It means cheering for your team even when they, well, suck..
Panthers vs Bengals - late 2010? We watched most of this game in the rain.
Michael has gotten me hooked on the NFL. I even did Fantasy Football last year!
I love watching them run out onto the field!
I am SO excited about football season this year! Hopefully the Panthers will come back strong and give us a reason to drive 6 hours (round-trip) to see them every other week!

My favorite players? Steve Smith and DeAngelo Williams. I love the way Smitty does his little victory dance after a touchdown. And I seriously want to give DeAngelo a hug. He has the biggest smile!

So, I guess I became a Panther fan by default. But I have loved the last two years and can't wait for more!

You didn't like college football b/c Duke is terrible at football. Come over to the victorious side of football- The Crimson Tide. Seriously. Look up the history. It's pretty awesome.

I am a hugeeeeee college football fan!
How could you NOT like college basketball? College ANYTHING is better than the pro sports, IMO.
And I love doing FF every year. I typically just help the hubs create his team. One year, he was working during his FF team draft so I had to do it. He happened to win the championship. Coincidence? I think not.
Love your fave players. Deangelo was a Memphis Tiger in college. One of the few good players & only NFL player that I know of we've ever produced.

I think I need to choose a favorite NFL team! I am a huge Duke girl. Their past football seasons haven't been so great :/ but I'm holding out hope for this year! I live in NC so I'm kinda sorta a Panthers fan...guess I'll watch some games this year! ;p

Ah!! I'd love to have Panthers season tickets! Although it would help if they wouldn't suck like they have the last couple years. I love going to those games. And you're right-- that pic of the Charlotte skyline over the stadium is GORGEOUS!!

I love this link up, it's made me even more excited for the season to start up! I'm a die hard Cowboys fan, win or lose. You and my grandpaw would definitely get a long real well though, seeing how you both pull for the Carolina Panthers.
